ByHande Noble Yarns

Every ByHande product begins with premium materials, hand selected for comfort, softness, design, color, and for being earth friendly.

Angora

Angora wool is a very fluffy and luxurious fabric that comes from Angora rabbits. They need to be groomed once or twice a week so matting and felting don’t occur.

Angora wool can be even warmer than standard sheep wool due to the hollow fibers that act as an added insulator. Being moisture wicking, durable, and anti-static, it is good for all skin types.

To care for your Angora garment wash by hand in luke warm water with a mild wool shampoo and lay flat to dry.

Merino Wool

Merino wool is much finer and softer than regular wool. It comes from Merino sheep that graze the highlands of Australia and New Zealand. Its fibers are flexible, bend softly against your skin, and don’t itch one bit making it perfect for sensitive skin.

Merino wool is famous for its natural climate regulating system and insulation that keeps you comfortable. It also absorbs UV radiation and therefore offers good protection from the sun.

Due to the antibacterial properties Merino clothes go a long time without washing. Often airing it out is enough to use it fresh again the next day. It can be hand washed with mild wool shampoo and laid flat to dry.

Alpaca

Alpaca wool was called “the fiber of the gods” by the ancient Incas, who were well aware of its exceptional qualities. It is as soft and luxurious as cashmere, stronger than mohair, and warmer and softer than sheep wool.

Alpaca wool is an excellent insulator and is extremely durable. Its fibers are elastic for exceptional comfort. Because it doesn’t contain lanolin, Alpaca wool is considered hypoallergenic and doesn’t irritate the skin. It naturally repels water and has antibacterial properties, so your knitwear will stay clean longer.

To care for your designer Alpaca clothes, wash by hand in cold water with mild wool shampoo and lay flat to dry.

Peruvian Highland Wool

Peruvian Highland Wool comes from a crossbred sheep that lives in the Peruvian highlands at over 2000 meters above sea level. This crossbred animal derives from Corridale and Merinos, and the environment in which they live allows them to produce a wool that is dry, crimpy and durable. It’s a chunky yarn that is soft, does not itch, and is very warm, perfect for sensitive skin.
